Rooms/Food

Dronninglund castle comprises 22 rooms. All rooms are equipped with own toilet, shower, telephone and TV.

Dronninglund castle has an a la carte restaurant which is open daily from 6 p.m. (from March 1st to December 20th). The restaurant atmosphere fits the gastronomic creations from our kitchen. A wine tasting can be arranged.

Forest: Dronninglund castle is situated close to forest with tracks for biking, running and team building.
Golf: Dronninglund castle is situated close to more golf clubs. A new golf clubs shall open next door in May 2008. We shall be happy to assist you in selecting a golf field.

History
Dronninglund castle is an old convent dating back to 1100, now build in to a modern conference centre and hotel. It was nuns from the Benedikt order who found these beautiful surroundings perfect for at convent. For more than 800 years Dronninglund castle has played an important role in Danish history having been in the possession of various members of the royal family, noblemen and famous squires. From 1690 to 1729 the church, the castle and the manor house belong to the royal family. Queen Charlotte Amalie - wife of Christian V took over the castle in 1690 and gave it its current name Dronninglund.
