Rooms/Food

Næsbyholm Castle comprises 14 rooms, where no two are alike. 8 of the rooms are double rooms, 4 rooms have beds for 3 persons. On top you find one suite and one single room. In total 31 beds available. A few of the rooms have own bath, the rest sharing bath with another room. The castles can serve up to 110 persons for dinner. For conferences and meetings the castle can host up to 150 participants in plenum. Also, you will find a vinter garden, a mirrored room, "Grandmother's living room", a library and a room for smaller gatherings. The living rooms can be used for meeting activities or a relaxing time-out. Also, you find 5 group rooms for group meetings. All over the castle you find a free wireless internet access. Outdoor team events can be arranged e.g. tree climbing, archery, fencing, rappelling.

Quality catering for dinning will be delivered for external supplier. As a team event we can arrange cooking school where the participants themselves prepare the menu.

Forest: Næsbyholm Castle is situated between woods and breathtaking nature.
Golf: Only 10 minutes drive from Næsbyholm Castle you find Sorø Golfklub. We shall be happy to arrange a match of golf for you.
Park/garden: Næsbyholm Castle is surrounded by a park, styled after Renaissance gardening techniques, symmetrical in several levels with a fountain, a moat, bridges and bronze sculptures. The park leads to a lake and a forest, abundant with wildlife including pheasants, deer, rabbits and various birds.
Patio: At Næsbyholm Slot you will find garden furniture in the summer time. Enjoy the nature and the quietness that prevails.
Running tracks: The surroundings at Næsbyholm Castle are ideal for a relaxing run e.g. in the forest. Plan your own trip and explore the surroundings while exercising.
Walking tracks: At Næsbyholm Castle you will find beautiful walking areas e.g. in the forest or the beautiful park.
Water (sea, lakes etc.): Næsbyholm Castle has its own lake and moat. Also, Næsbyholm Castle is situated close to the "Susåen" - a creek where you can rent canoes. Canoes can be rented after a 10 minutes walk from the castle - through the forest. A beach is situated app. 30 minutes drive from the castle.
History
Næsbyholm Castle was built in 1585 by Steen Brahe, the brother of famous astronomer Tycho Brahe in coordination with King Frederik II's main architect, Hans V. Steenwinckel. The castle is one of Denmark's most breathtaking renaissance era castles, built in the style of the Dutch architecture of the time. The two story head building has tow short side wings, built of red bricks and decorated with ornate carvings in white sandstone.
