Rysensteen Manor House comprises 4 rooms/apartments. Each room/apartment has a small open fireplace, a small kitchen, bathroom and television. Internet access from all rooms. You have the possibility to play billiard on an original billiard table in the basement/party hall of Rysensteen. Also, you can use Rysensteen for smaller meetings, where you can use the dinning room as a meeting room.

Feel free to expect a nice experience when going to breakfast. Breakfast will be served in the manor house kitchen with an open fire place in the background, home baked bread and ingredients from the farm and region. From the windows in the kitchen you can watch the wild gooses fly by and the meadows. The manor house is situated on top of a hill and therefore you find a nice view. Only breakfast is served on Rysensteen Manor House, but we are happy to recommend you good dinning places in the region.

Fishing: At Rystensteen Manor House you find the possibility to fish for pikes - only 500 meters from the main building.
Forest: Only 10 km from Rysensteen Manor House you will find the 3rd largest forest in Denmark named Klosterheden. This forest is ideal for running and walking. You might see some red deer's in this forest.
Golf: Maximum 30 km away from Rysensteen Manor House you will find 3 golf tracks. I.e. Holsterbro Golfklub Raasted, Struer Golfklub and Lemvig Golfklub.
Horse riding: The owner of Rysensteen Manor House Ms. Suzanne Wibholm Schliemann has a great passion for breeding Holstener horses. Therefore, also horses are welcome at Rysensteen. You will find a stable and a riding ground for guests.
Hunting: At Rysensteen Manor House you can arrange for hunting. Please call/mail for further details.
Park/garden: Rysensteen Manor House has its own park/garden. One of the rooms has own access to an eastbound patio.
Patio: At Rysensteen Manor House you will find garden furniture in the court yard. In the court yard you can find shelter from the sometimes rough western wind. Once per hour you will hear bells ringing from the tower clock.
Running tracks: The surroundings at Rysensteen Manor House are ideal for a relaxing run. Plan your own trip and explore the surroundings while exercising.
Walking tracks: At Rysensteen Manor House you will find beautiful walking areas. A walk along the west coast of Denmark will inspire you and fill you with energy.
Water (sea, lakes etc.): Rysensteen Manor House is situated very close to the west coast of Denmark - the North Sea (5 km from the coast line). Enjoy the rough feeling on a windy day by the sea or the lovely beach on a summer day. You will find beautiful sunsets all year around.

As a majestic silhouette Rysensteen is situated on its lonely hill on flat meadows close to the coast of the North Sea. In the Middle Ages Rysensteen belonged to the bishop of Ribe and was called "Castrum Bøfflingae" or Bøvling Castle. In 1664 the name changed to Rysensteen as our king gave a Dutchman named Henrik Ruse (pronounced Ryse) the estate in payment. Henrik Ruse was a Dutch constructor who lead the modernization of the fortifications of Copenhagen.

Later in history, the estate has had many owners and lived a quite life on the west coast of Denmark. However, now the full atmosphere has returned to Rysensteen and in the re-established southern wing you will find 4 newly renovated rooms/apartments awaiting guests from all over the world. Close to the Manor House you will find the farm which is totally up-to-date renovated. This farm has a large pig breeding.
